March 12, 2014 The Multi-Purpose Hall of SEGi University saw our Chemical Engineering students competing against one another for the best innovative alternative fuel car model. The Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC) organised the competition to provide a platform for students to display their creativity and technical knowledge in the field of chemical engineering through the development of a model car running on alternative fuel. March 12, 2014 The newly inducted Student Representative Council (SRC) 2014-2015 of SEGi University was sworn in with much aplomb. They were selected after going through a fair and transparent selection procedure. Last year’s President of the Student Representative Council, Tiew Kai Zhi, and his committed team were recognised for their efforts. March 13, 2014 There is no doubt about the benefits of good dental or oral care. For these reasons, the Final Year Mass Communication Students, in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry, held the SMILE Campaign 2014 with the catchy slogan, “Healthy Smile, Perfect You”. It was attended by the Deputy Director of Selangor Youth and Sports Department, Tuan Haji Khairul Shahril bin Shahbudin. Rotaract Club Organises 2nd Arms Wrestling Competition
March 13, 2014 On Thursday, 13 March 2014, the SEGi Rotaract Club organised the second Arm Wrestling Competition at the Dictator Stage of SEGi University. The objective of this event was to raise funds for the club. Divided into 2 categories (under and above 75kgs), there were 40 contestants who registered. The male category under 75kg was won by Ammar Barakat. Mogahed Jafar Champion championed the category above 75 kg. Congratulations to the champions!

SEGi College Subang Jaya Has a Day Out With Orang Asli Children
March 14, 2014 A group of students from Faculty of Creative Art and Design (FOCAD), SEGi College Subang Jaya spent a wonderful morning at Kampung Hulu Tamu, Batang Kali to connect with Orang Asli children between 4-6 years old. With the theme “Making Rainbow”, the FOCAD students shared their creativity through various activities involving art, language and music. Some of the activities that took place were making rainbow musical shakers, a colouring contest, hand painting and a quiz “Identify the Colours”. February 23, 2014 Between 22nd to 23rd February, SEGi University’s Student Affairs Division and the SEGi Nature Society (SNS) had a trip to Taman Negara, Malaysia’s foremost national park. Upon arrival at Taman Negara, staff and students went for their first walk to Lubuk Simpon. They had fun dipping in the crystal clear and cool water. When night came, everyone was armed with torch lights and courageous hearts as they went for a night walk with tourist guides from Taman Negara. February 25, 2014 The Dictator’s Stage at SEGi University was a cacophony filled with excitement for 2 days. On the 24 and 25 of February 2014, the Student Affairs Division organised the Recruitment Drive 2014 for all clubs and societies at SEGi University. The event helped to generate more buzz and publicity for the clubs and societies at SEGi University, and to enable the clubs and societies to recruit more members. Ponggal is a harvest festival celebrated by the Tamil community to commemorate the end of the harvest season. It is celebrated on the “Thai massam” which is the first month of the Indian calendar.
