INSTITUTION INFO: OVERVIEW
SEGi University Group has been in the education industry for more than 36 years, starting off as Systematic Business Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur in 1977. From offering only professional qualifications and tuition classes, it transformed into an educational conglomerate of repute.
Today SEGi is home to over 28,000 students, spread across five campuses in various Malaysian cities. SEGi is one of the largest private education providers in Malaysia and works toward providing quality education which is recognised within Malaysia and internationally.

SEGi’s Consortium of Global Partners includes acclaimed universities like University of Abertay Dundee, University of Greenwich, University of Sunderland, University of London, Teesside University, University of Sunderland, University of St Mark and St John, and University of York St John from the UK; Upper Iowa University from the US; and University of Southern Queensland from Australia.
The year 2011 saw the launch of the Research and Innovation Management Centre to strengthen research and academic capabilities. This new centre will help tap into industry resources for R&D funding.
Through its Valued Corporate Partnership program, consisting of a long list of multinational corporations and government offices, SEGi offers students internships and job placements. This enables students to understand the working world and to put their theoretical knowledge to practice.
