The making of “My Life, My University”
I posted a short story “A SIMPLE STORY OF LIFE AS A SEGIAN” about SEGi’s recent TV and cinema video advertisement. This unconventional video advertisement has garnered a good response by those it was targeting.
Although the entire video was only for one minute in length, the works in preparing, shooting and editing the video was a lot more extensive and took many days. It also involved more than just the lead actors / actress and the supporting actors / actresses.
I would like to share with you “The making of My Life, My University” which takes you behind the scene of the entire shooting process of the commercial.
I have also selected a few screenshots of this video to whet your appetite.
The production crew had to bring in a full set of heavy gears for the shoot.
This was the size of the contingent of “extra” actors and actresses for the video.
The bicycle scene was a little taxing on the leading actor’s stamina.
After when he was pushed into the swimming pool scene, it took three make-up artists to prepare our leading actor for the next scene.
The “girl-drop-book-boy-catch-book” scene was more challenging to shoot than the other scenes…several takes were taken before the director was happy with the result.
The “graduation day” scene was perhaps the most challenging for the director, actors and actresses. It did not help that this was shot at around 6pm when the light was failing.
