SEGi Group of Institutions (SEGi) is one of the largest private higher education providers in Malaysia. The group now serves around 16,000 students through its seven major campuses located in the Klang Valley, Penang and Kuching, Sarawak.
The Group offers a wide range of programmes at certificate, diploma and degree levels. Facilities
The commitment of SEGi towards providing quality education and a complete learning experience to its students is reflected in its continuous efforts in infrastructure and facilities upgrading. The RM150 million new flagship campus – SEGi University College – is designed to be a prestigious education and training landmark in the country.
SEGi also provides student residences, and sports and recreational facilities. The Group believes that the best test of the quality of its education and training programmes is in the employability of its graduates and their contribution to their own community.
Student Suppport Services and Student Development Activities
The Group also provides value-added features to its youth education and training programmes by designing additional curriculum on character building and entrepreneurship, as well as job placement for its graduates.
One such feature is the innovative scheme to send its students and trainees to its very own leadership development camp – SEGi Leadership Centre (SLC). Here, youths will pick up soft skills such as leadership, confidence, teamwork and communication competencies.
SEGi recognises the importance for its graduates to stand out in the competitive job market. The Career Exploratory Scheme (CEP), a formal collaboration between SEGi and hundreds of its valued corporate partners was established to offer thousands of practical training opportunities and internship positions for its students and trainees.
The CEP programme will give SEGi students and trainees the chance to roll up their sleeves and have hands-on experience in the real working world. Collaborating with a leading recruitment portal, Jobstreet.com, SEGi also matches and places its students and trainees with suitable companies.
